Larry Ellison is in a fortunate position, he is the fourth richest person in America and he is the sixth richest person in the entire world. Larry Ellison has a net worth of 84.3 billion dollars. Larry Ellison is an extremely successful business as shown why the wealth he has acquired during his life. Larry Ellison was born on August 17th, 1944 in New York. His mother was Jewish and his father was Italian American. It was a rough start for Larry Ellison as at the age of nine months he got pneumonia, which led to him being given up to his aunt and uncle. The surprising thing was the fact he never saw his mother again until the age of 48 which is an incredible fact. Larry Ellison’s adoptive parents raised him in a strict religious fashion. However, his views towards religion would not be of someone who was raised in a religious family. He even refused to have a bar mitzvah party. Larry Ellison went to South Shore High School. He experienced hardship as he found out that his adoptive parent had died. Despite attending the University of Illinois and the University of Chicago even didn’t get a degree and ultimately became a dropout.

The company changed its name to Relational Software Inc two years later. The company that gained Larry Elision experience was with the company oracle. Oracle is a database management system and it is used for running online transaction processing and data warehousing. Not everything has run smooth and sailing as in 1990 they have to get rid off ten percent of their work staff due to the company losing money. It got so bad that the company almost became bankrupt as a result of this. In 1994 Oracle had a rivalry. Informix’s growth was spectacular, Larry Ellison and Informix CEO Phil White develop a big rivalry that heated up as the years passed on. Larry Ellison was made the director of Apple in 1997, he was there for five years before he resigned in 2002. Larry Ellison started picking up more pace in the 2010s. In the previous decade, he was the best-paid executive. His name was competing with the likes of Bill Gates and Warren Buffet as some of the richest Americans in the world. In 2012 he bought the Hawaiian island Lana’i. Larry Ellison owns stakes in multiple different companies and they include the likes of Salesforce.com, NetSuite, Quark Biotechnology Inc., and Astex Pharmaceuticals. He also becomes the director of Tesla and owns 1.7 percent of the company as well as owning 36.2 percent of the shares of the Oracle Corporation.

Personal Life

Larry Ellison has been married several times he has been married four times. The first time he married Adda Quinn, the relationship lasted seven years from 1967 to 1974. His second marriage was even shorter as he married Nancy Wheeler Jenkins and it lasted for six months. Barbara Boothe was married to Larry Ellison for three years from 1983 to 1896. His fourth wife Melanie Craft was married from 2003 until 2010.
