Jack Dorsey is one of the people who are responsible for the huge growth that Twitter has made in the last decade. The main reason that you can spend your whole day looking for tweets and tweeting to your friends is because of Jack Dorsey. Jack Dorsey is a billionaire who is the co-founder of Twitter and is also the founder of a company called Square. Jack Dorsey has a net worth of 14 billion dollars. Jack Dorsey was born on November 19, 1976, in St Louis. Jack Dorsey has three main descendants and they are English, Italian and Irish. Jack Dorsey was raised in a catholic family and his uncle was a Catholic priest showing the heaving catholic influence in the family. He also went to a catholic school, he went to Catholic bishop Dubourg High School. Eventually, Jack Dorsey attended the University of Missouri-Rolla however after two years he dropped out of the university.

Career

Jack Dorsey came up with a plan and that was to create Twitter, this idea was born when he was studying at university. Jack Dorsey left and went to California. Jack Dorsey had plenty of ideas that he wanted to try out at the time. He wanted to have a frictionless service market. Jack Dorsey wanted to develop a website where you can talk to your family and friends through instant messaging. Jack Dorsey was the CEO of the company, however, he did have other interest which eventually got in the way of his work. For example, he loved to do Yoga and fashion design. However, this cost him his job. In 2008 he became the chairman of Twitter. During this time the company’s growth was increasing a lot. In 2010, there were fifty million tweets every single day from Twitter users, by the time it hit June 2010 there were 65 million tweets per day. The Fifa World Cup helped increase the growth of this when there were up to 2,940 tweets per second after Japan scored versus Cameroon. 2013 reached the twitter kept on increasing in popularity. Around September 2013 there were 400 million tweets per day. Jack Dorsey has even banned the US president at the time, Donald Trump. Twitter believed that Donald Trump was the reason for the US capitol attacks that happened and was banned from Twitter.

Even though Twitter was Jack Dorsey main reason for the success he has another company and they are called square, inc. Square.Inc is a company that take credit card and debit card payments. The company was founded in 2010. The company is based in San Francisco. There was a major inspiration for this company and that was when friend Jim McKelvey wasn’t able to complete a 2,000 dollar sale of product because the company they were using didn’t accept credit cards. The company is in a very stable position and the annual revenue for 2020 was 9.49 billion dollars and you can use the company o your Ipad, iPhone and Android.

Jack Dorsey is someone who likes to engage in exercise and it is believed that he walks up to five miles to work each morning. Jack Dorsey is someone who likes to get involved in Politics.
